Makita SA5040C Angle Sander – 125 mm Disc / 1,400 W / 2,000–7,800 rpm Variable Speed (110 V or 240 V)

The Makita SA5040C is a robust angle sander and polisher with a 125 mm disc, designed for heavy-duty grinding, sanding, and light grinding tasks. Its variable‑speed dial, soft‑start, and anti‑kickback technology make it ideal for metal, stone, and general fabrication work. Available in both 110 V transformer-safe (SA5040C/1) and 240 V mains (SA5040C/2) variants.

Key Features:

  • 1,400 W motor drives discs at adjustable speeds from 2,000 to 7,800 rpm

  • Variable-speed dial (1–5) maintains full RPM under load and offers fine control

  • Soft-start prevents torque shock at startup

  • Anti‑restart protection prevents unintended startup after power loss

  • Makita SJS II (Super Joint System) counter‑balance for reduced vibration and improved durability

  • Ergonomic small-diameter barrel grip (~115 mm circumference) for user comfort

  • M14 spindle thread, suitable for 125 mm discs and pads

  • Double-insulated design; side handle fits either side

  • Compact size (~315 × 115 × 121 mm), weight ~2.2–2.5 kg, cable ~2.5 m

  • Vibration levels for disc sanding: ≤ 2.5 m/s²; for grinding: ≤ 5.0 m/s²

  • Noise levels around 84 dB(A) sound pressure, 95 dB(A) sound power

📦 What’s Included:

  • Makita SA5040C Angle Sander (110 V or 240 V model)

  • Side handle

  • 125 mm Velcro backing pad

  • Lock nut wrench

  • Head cover (for cut-off wheels)

🔧 Ideal For:

  • Metal fabrication, weld removal, surface sanding or cut‑off work

  • Site or workshop use where anti‑vibration performance and consistent speed are needed

  • Versatile finishing tool for leather, paint, or stone surfaces with controlled RPM

⚠️ Please Note:

  • Select correct voltage version: SA5040C/1 = 110 V, SA5040C/2 = 240 V

  • Do not exceed 125 mm disc diameter and always use M14 standard accessories

  • Avoid forced low-speed milling for extended periods—can overheat motor

  • Always wear appropriate PPE: goggles, dust mask, hearing protection, gloves
